In a f-body? Theres not much you can do to a NA 3800 V6 thats going to give you much of a gain. FWD 3800 guys are making over 350whp with a turbo kit and stock cam. Put in a aftermarket cam and you can make north of 500whp with a 67mm turbo. The stock bottom ends can handle alot of abuse.

The 3.8 liter v6 engine in some of the Camaros are like the old GN engines on steriods!!!

Very good engines, way better heads than the old LC2 engines, way better oiling, roller camshaft, better rods, better everthing!!!

Turboing this engine will get you plenty of power, and even stock they have handled crazy amounts of power. Altho, in the L67 version.

With all that said, you would be better off with a turbo LS variant, because like any buick engine, they are very specialized, Meaning you would have to make all of the turbo piping(after you figured out who has the header flanges),and the intake you have stock is not only ugly, but who knows if boost will do stupid stuff with it(the original grand national intake needs air redistribution to work right, and it is a designed for boost intake).

If you really like the v6, go for it, but it won't be as easy a path as the LS swap.

Alot of guys pick up Junkyard L26's (2004-2008 NA grand prix) with low miles for $400. The compression is 9.5:1 instead of the L67's 8.5:1. The intake will be just fine. Lots of FWD guys swap to those intakes so they can have the TB on the passenger side. If you can fabricate your own kit I saw go for it. Its unique and cool IMO. both these guys are on stock bottom ends.

If you have a donor car with a LS go for the swap, otherwise get off tech and go to fullthrottlev6.com They have ALLOT of 3.8 guys with turbo setups pushing 20psi. Before the days of HPtuners they were using vortec SFMU to adjust the fuel pressure to boost. Even the NA 3.8 love the boost, dont let these haters hate casue you have a v6 Their is a few FTV6 guys on here but they are few...
