Default garret turbo question

Have a question i bought this turbo without knowing the exact size it is i was told its a gt40 but not 100% sure here are some pics

Google garrett T04e14 for info. Yours has a 1.32 hot side. Kind of small compressor with a large turbine, probably off a diesel or something

#4 probably...since it wont reach hp goal then yes. You spent 280 too much. That is an oddball size and not much it would work on well

what kind of power you think i would make out of this turbo? I was gonna buy the y2400k ebay turbo but seeing this and thought it was better but i guess not

You might eek 500hp but that would be crank hp...

Sorry man there really isnt much else to say about that...It really is a odd turbo for a gas engine. What engine are you wanting to do this with and what size?

Just try to sell it, and go in a different route. Unless you have any other use for it.

Yea post it for sale locally already. I have 4.8 i bought it as a project since the previous owner blew the turbo and im trying to keep it turbo since it basically has everything aready on it.

ok so i bought a mp gt45 for $340 last week
but now having mounting probs the turbine housing hits

this is a monster turbo compared to the garret i had gotten

Yeah a good steady use of a hammer will massage that area enough for it to fit or you can re-do the flange by tilting it towards the radiator to bring it away from the wheel well

Well actually the turbo bolts up whats stopping me is the compressor housing
