Well i have a pretty safe tune already.... My air/fuel is 12.0-12.1 done by speed inc... With that airfuel do you think it would be ok to spray a 50 shot into the plenum...Its nice to know that a couple have done it already and got away with it... Maybe i'll keep my eyes on a used kit...

I'll let you know in a few days.. It all depends if you MAF is maxed out or not and where, if it is at lower rpm I wouldnt do it. I run my car on the street around 11.5:1 a/f and lean it to 12:1 at the track. I think it will help fight off some detonation in the warmer weather as long as it doesnt go lean. I'll find out soon enough, I'll have everything here in a couple days except for a window switch that I ordered from harlen - could be a couple days till I see it, could be a couple months

I think a cam swap would be the safest way for u to gain 30-50rwhp. NOS with boost is very dangerous if not done right. The cam i got is good for FI and i gained 44rwhp N/A with it. The only downside from the cam is that it doesnt give u high TQ numbers.

The torque is what I am looking for, I have been fooling with nitrous up to triple stage plate/fogger/spray bar systems for quite a few years so I can probably handle setting up a 50hp dry shot

A cam swap would need more boost which would probably = belt slip. Not to mention in the warmer weather more boost would mean more heat which is what I am trying to avoid.

I think a small n2o shot will do what I want, car is more or less fast enough on the street without the nitrous, it would be a track only thing so I dont think it will be dangerous at all. I have an in-car wideband and unlimited dynojet access so I think I can set it up pretty safe - worst thing that can happen is I can blow up an already beat on stock shortblock
