I ran both in my rx7 and in my ltd, and like the glide over the th400 in both cars. The glide drives fine on the street also, I run very little gear in my cars, with the glide you should be able to leave with 10+ lbs easily.

What is considered a dog or heavy? My TA is 3700lbs race weight. Its more your entire setup than just the trans. I have a 1.80 first gear in the glide, BTE 3800 stall, 3.50 gears and my car is responsive. I could never use 1st gear in my TH350 before I smoked it so I like it a lot better.

Went from a TH350 to a glide. Really depends on your setup. My PT76GTS on a 370 was insta-boost so it didnt matter.

I can add also...I've been 1.5 60ft on the glide and 2.73 gears on pure street tires(not drag radials) at over 4000lbs incase anyone doesn't think you can leave hard enough with the glide. No reason with good tires you can't go 1.3x 60fts.
