Thoughts on my exhaust set up (cut out placement)
My combo consists of a 370 with a pt88 turbo with a Garrett gt8847 compressor wheel. My downpipe will start out as a 4" then about a foot later neck down to a 3.5" past the motor then neck down again to a 3" at the transmission and run to a slp 2otl.
My question is-
I currently have a 3" cutout right before the axle. I can probably move it to were it necks down right at the transmission if needed. Would this be worth my time or should i just leave it alone.
My power goals are 800+ whp on 18ish psi.

There is another thread going about dp size right now. Mighty Mouse was running high 8s with a pt88 before his gt91 with a 3.5 exhaust.
I'm not really concerned about exhaust size, 3"-3.5" will be fine for what I want to do right now with seeing how nicd and mightymouses cars run, I'm more worried about cut out placement. I just wanna know if there is a benefit moving my cutout from before the rear end to right beside the transmission.

is your wastegate going to atmosphere?
I think you can get to 800 the way it is now You should try, and if you don't make it move it and try again.
-or just F it and turn up the boost provided you have a good set of springs on the engine.
