Default Texas Mile Camaro Crash

Not sure if any of you guys saw this but Kelly Bise's 2800hp Camaro was going for 280 but ended up with a horrible wreck. Driver is ok just shows you how important all of this safety equipment is!

Sad to see a car that has been around a long time end up like this just glad the driver was alright

That's crazy, glad the driver walked away. The cage still looks relatively in shape...

Glad he was okay, I liked watching that car on YouTube, he had some videos of the tires catching on fire and it looked like a wild ride trying to slow it back down! Hope they make a comeback though!

if it went end over end, most likely.

the underside of the camaro looked like there was no covering. thats probably not good for a car going for 280mph.. the thing was essentially a big sail.

Its been 263 but there's other videos of it going sideways blowing out a tire at 240. Nothing is safe at those speeds

well.. no, it isnt. however, you can mitigate the risks by doing things to keep the car from thinking its a bird. F1 cars have flat bottoms as do ALMS and stock cars because they create down force without a huge increase in drag. otherwise those things would probably take flight like that merc GTR at LeMans more often.

couldve been something as an imperfection in the levelness of the runway that let air under the car.
