I'm not really sure. But lets say it would get 10-12 miles to the gallon on e85 x 25 = 250 to 300 miles? Roughly...
That sounds pretty decent. I need to be able to go at least 100 miles on a tank. I think the stock tank is what 14-15 gallons? With the way I'll have mine set-up without a sump, I'll probably have to fill up when it hits a 1/3rd of a tank.

N8,

I would love to run one of your set-ups and honestly have been drooling and feigning over one for a long time, but I don't think I can afford you and I mean that with all respect! LOL!

Im with this guy. It a great idea... it would work fine. Id think the small cell would be plenty for a 1/4 blast and under normal driving the stock pump would be able to keep up enough to keep it full from the rear tank.

Anyone else have thoughts on this?

Thats how some of the new EFI boats (that have LSx engines) work. Its called a surge tank. The low pressure fuel pump fills up the surge tank, and the return is an open fitting at the top of the tank (tank is sealed to the fuel system). The high pressure pump takes fuel from the surge tank, and returns to the surge tank.

An external swirl tank is standard practice for track cars. It will basically let you race around a circuit running the main tank to almost empty with no fuel supply issues.
Obviously the more power you make, the larger the swirl may need to be, depending of course on the abilities of the lift pump to keep it full.
