]forgot to add ^^^^^^ that i have an ams-500 controller. Here is a pic of the motor when it was first rebuilt. I have only put maybe fifty miles on that setup since then. I felt like i was "cheating" myself with the power1985 6.0 turbo truck-motor-first-build.jpg

its a lq9 but im changing the rods and pistons no matter what because the compression is too high for the turbo and the im pretty sure those pistons will be getting pretty hot with nitrous as well

Take a look at the ratings on hbeam and ibeam. All that I've looked at, ibeams were rated higher and cost more too. My Callies ibeams are rated 1500hp where their hbeams are 800hp iirc (cost much less also). At 1000hp I think you will be fine either way, I have a dendency to go overkill.

As far as the n20, I would set it up on a Hobbs switch to say 6 psi to turn the n2o off and the turbo will take over from there. There really shouldn't be a need for it after the turbo is spooled, if there is then the turbo is too small.

Hope that helps.

Honestly I would skip the nitrous personally and focus on the turbo set up. I do not believe you will have any issues at all spooling that turbo with the cubes you have. Just stall and cam it appropriately. What fuel do you plan on? Maybe I missed it.

Again with the appropriate cam and stall converter I think you should be at full boost in the 3500- 4000 rpm range if not sooner.

i have a few questions about plumbing for the vacuum lines. I bought one of the vacuum manifolds that ill probably mount somewhere on the firewall, I have two ports on the wastegate (one on top and one on side) one port on the procharger big red bov, boost gauge, and boost reference on the FPR. How and where do i plump these lines. Ive read a few posting where they say reference the Wg off the Turbo housing but Im looking for other options also where does this hose go off the bov?? boostcontroller etc????

Cold side and intercooler mounted under the dash ……next plan is to get the pro charger big red bob mounted before the intercooler and the IAT sensor right before the throttle body
