so the water flows through the whole block and heads, cept for this area above the rear cyls that will make them explode, and the only way for them to not explode is to put a pinhole sized coolant passage in the top corner of the head by the intake, not even the cyl...

sounds like bullshit to me

It might be, but its one less thing I have to worry about.

Plug em off and go to the next thing . With a turbo car those steam vents will be the least of your problems. While your worried about those steam vents im out doing burnouts in both of my turbo cars that have them blocked.

Thanks to user Gonoma I got them knocked out and the ls1 style crossover tubes installed.

Thanks you for all of the suggestions.

its hard to argue with you, you've done everything to these engines!!

figured id ask, in all your turbo LS builds how many have you blown up?

Are you refering to built engines or junkyard ones with unknown history being pushed to the limit with non-forged internals?

well the fairmont i would push till failure everytime for experimenting, wich also had the ls1 4 port crossover connected. i would break ringlands with timing trying to find the limit.

out of all the other cars, i cracked a piston in the ventura years ago getting greedy with timing, and my friends mustang kicked a rod when his 6.0 ran out of fuel pump.

other than that, i think i broke a piston once a month or more in my fairmont.

we have built and tuned many other cars that have not broken the motors, my friends notch went thru a few transmissions and converters till we found stuff that could take out the power these can dish out.
