I have one (1) tool left from my "free to me" steel, the price has been $10 for shipping.

I priced out the steel today and will be bumping the cost to $25 when I have to buy more stock.

I don't need one. Just wanted to say that it is awfully nice to share what you have done.

It's really hard to find people like you that take time to make something better then the original, and then offer it for free. Even what your gonna charge for a piece that you have to put time and money into is still pretty damn awesome!! Thanks !!

I have used up all of my "free to me" steel that I have been using to make these. I did buy more stock so I can keep making these as people request. The new price will be $25 for the tool and shipping to the lower 48 states.

Thanks to all for the kind words, now lets get some feed back from those of you that have used this in your car... Or does everyone else have a garage queen like me ?

used mine today , it sucked , i pullied down to a 3.4 from a 3.9 and needed a new belt so all the **** off. I had to mod this tool to make it work .
the long part of the tensioner hit the threaded part by the bolt that holds the idler
and the tool wouldnt fit the tensioner , if fit on the wrong side , the side that doesn matter .

Wasnt happy using this , made it work but updates need to be made to it .

Sorry to hear this. I used your tool to set the the tension on my tensionier before I sent it your way.

What about it didn't fit your tensioner ? The hook on the bottom ?

If you you have any pics of it on your tensioner please post them up and if you would like your $10 back, I'll do so...

The hook at the bottom didn't fit. It fit like in your pic on the wrong side of the spring but when put on to tension it no way it was fitting. So i filed the tool and the tensioner. Also I had to notch it as it was hitting the bolt that holds the idler on te tensioner.

Don't send me money back. That's so awesome you would offer but it's all fixed and working good now. Just want to let you know and I was hot and pissed off at the time I posted.

Well, sorry again this didn't fit your tensioner. Your tensioner must be slightly differant than mine. Every tool I made was fitted and used to set the tension on my spring.

For any one who comes across this thread in the future...
*** To avoid any further problems with differances in tensioners I am NOT going to make any more of these tools. Sorry for any inconvenience ***

i dont think you should stop making them , make a few more and sell them with people knowing it might have to be modded like mine to make it work . It worked so much better than the pos i got from sdce .
