Well, if you're looking for great low end torque, then I'd go with the 370 and keep the compression in the low 10s. I have my compression right around 10.2 and the car drives great, I love it, and I have a 3.4" pulley and belt waiting to go on...

I have a full lq4 in the garage. The only concern I have with it is it came out of a box truck that caught fire. That part worries me slightly to be honest. the block/heads "look" fine but who knows. The intake manifold was burnt to a crisp. It didnt melt the plastic lifter trays so maybe its fine. Who knows.

Strip the lq4 down and have it sonic tested. If every thing checks out bore it .020 over, line hone the mains, and polish the crank, you'll have a brand new block. I agree with Alchemist keep the compression up for your low end street grunt and let it feed.

If tq comes in early close to a roots blower on a cobra I will just build a motor and go that route.
I know from experience those Cobras are good for one run on the dyno. After that they lose hp big time due to heat stroke. I think you would regret the purchase pretty quickly if you went that route. Bob

Valid point. Now that you mention it, every time I see them at the track or dyno they carry more ice than gas haha
