Which precision 7675 is better value for money
Hi guys I'm looking at fitting a precision 7675 to my 5.3 engine. But is it worth spending the extra money on the CEA version which claims to be rated to 1200 instead of 1160 that the standard one is.
Cheers

I said the same thing before I brought mine. Till I saw the great power guys were making with the norm journal bearing version. That alone told me to save that little bit of extra money and put it else where that is important.

I use a lot of these turbos, they are great any way, as said the turbine is the limiting factor with this turbo. The compressor not so much. Our chassis fab guy made 960 rwhp on a forged 6.0 and c16 . Also willamz car got upgraded to the pt from the tc and go look at his results

It's hard to beat that unit for how physically small it is. There are other turbos that are a lot better value per hp but they are huge in comparison. The borg warner s475 and s480 are probably the best bang per buck if you have the room. I think they are in the $700-800 range.

well I was originally going to fit a ebay special gt45 but ive now decided against it. I think id have room for the borg warner, if not ill make it fit. Has anybody compared the 7675 and the S480. which would be the better turbo. Im aiming for over 700whp (750-800whp if im being optermistic) if that helps.

the s480s have been making some great power.. 1000+ and the new billet wheel i think has made over 1200.. i think i have seen a few cars make as much as 900s on the 7675. but icould be wrong there. what is the price on that thing. PM me if you want to talk about the tnetics mid frame. its close to the size of s400 but not quite and its got ceramic ball bearings
if you got the room and what to save some $$ s400 is the way to go for sure. you can get a pricey unit with those too if you want to thought ~1600 with new billet wheel and all
