Nice sized cam. I have a 227/235 on a 113lsa with .614/.621 lift, so there's no reason why I shouldn't be able to get my idle down to the mid 700s as well. It's idling fine right now at 800, but I'll try dropping it a little this weekend.

Alchemist,

Your cam actually only has 2 degrees less overlap@.050" than this camshaft. Now, since your cam uses LSL lobes it has much less seat to seat overlap(AKA .006" or @TDC) than this camshaft as Denmah's cam uses a much milder slower lobe.

You should have no problem idling it down some.

Actually, I think it uses LSR lobes, I think, gotta check again, but I do beleive this is the cam I'm running, but I'm not at home, so I don't have my cam card in front of me.

EDIT: just did some reading and realize that the LSR cams use LSL lobes. My bad.

No problem! It happens a lot, it's really comps fault for advertising that line of cams the way that they do.

I like the notes that comp put with the cam, " Must have substantial airflow upgrades, inlet & exhaust." I wonder how a blower at 15psi would rate... definitely time to upgrade the exhaust to 1 7/8" headers though.

I just knocked my idle down to 725 and no issues at all. It runs a little rougher, you can feel it loped a little in the driver's seat, but the car almost sounds stock, well, except for the blower, and the exhaust, but other than that, it's stock, really....
