Default 408 S480 build which internals?

Currently tearing down my lq9 to build but I'm having trouble picking which internals I want. My goals are 8's in an 83 trans am. I plan on using a T6 S480 1.32 with 96mm turbine. I'm having a hard time deciding to just go with callies compstar crank and h beam rods or being safe with a dragonslayer crank and i beams. Maybe some of the sponsors will chime in?

Plan on using 93 octane. E85 is HARD to get around here

You can make a ton of power and still run 10s. Theres so much more to running a good number.

I would figure a compstar rods and crank with boost pistons of your choice would support the power necessary for running an 8.

I understand this. Such as suspension, gear setup, tires, etc. It's more of a peace of mind thing.

Thats a good choice^ I would start off with the dragonslayer crank and forged low compression pistons. JE is top notch.

Thanks guys. Now I just have to decide between a speed inc or tick can package. Looks like I'll be getting all kinds of goodies after I get back from vacation!

why not just run a stock crank.... Compstar rods, forged pistons and put some money into good heads.... where the power is really made?
