ATI plastic air box-maxed out My plastic ATI air box exploded yesterday after a few runs at 10 psi. I guess thats the maximum pressure the plastic one can take in case anyone wanted to know.

my plastic intake tube blows off the throttle body sometimes under about 10 lbs of boost. If not under a lot of boost, it does it when it shifts. I think that the blow off valve cant get rid of the pressure fast enough. Any suggestions?

Any pics..... i still dont understand what he blew off...... is it after the plenum, but before the TB??? I ran 11psi on my stock bottom end with no problems there except the shortblock ha ha .

Silver-whistler: is your box bolted down to the radiator support plate? I had the same problem until I did this. I had the metal box at first but had to switch to the plastic because the metal one was messing up the airflow and throwing the computer off. I think ATI may have stopped selling the chrome box until they figure out why.
