What K member is on there? You can fit a 3 or even a 3.5 on a stock k member.

x2 was getting ready to say the same thing. 3" is plenty unless you plan too step it up in the future.

As much power as i can w what i have. just trying to make whats there as efficient as possible. How do you come up w 3" is good to 850? My original plan was all the back through my magnafow exhaust. What i have to go by is the math i found doing my research, down pipe should be 120-130% of the exducer and that puts me 3.5"@120% or 4"@130%

Numerous people have made big power through a 3" downpipe. I put down 606/570 with an on3 turbo on 14 lbs. I now have a Turbonetics 7875 on 16-17 lbs. and it runs pretty well. I would dare to venture I am close to 700 rwhp now through a 3" downpipe.

You can make tons of power on a 3" setup. Around 750 at the flywheel it'll start causing some issues with back pressure.

This doesn't mean that you won't make more power with a larger exhaust, because you will. It just means that power can still be made. With a 3" turbine outlet, I picked up 50 whp going from 3" to 4" (cone coming directly off of the v-band flange) in a relatively low power setup.

The longer and more bendy the exhaust, the more power that will be lost with a smaller diameter pipe. If you have a straight dump coming off of the turbine, the gains wouldn't be nearly as big going up to a 4" as they would be if it was a full length exhaust with mufflers.

Spohn solid mounts and a stock k-member will allow a 4" downpipe. May be a decent solution?

I know because we have proven it in real world testing.

I trust in real world testing and i like the idea of solid mounts for extra clearance. As of now im working on a 3.5" two 90s w a offset through the k member past the starter and straight pipe back to the axle wwhere i will pick up the 3" and have a cut out for the track etc.

Since your alternator is moved up, if you went with some spohn tubular solid motor mounts how much room would you have routing it there? Wondering if you could get a 3 inch between the motor mounts and the block?

Right now i have a 3.5" in there but its really tight. Im worried about getting knock retard from it rattling so. Ive heard that the solid mounts make it pretty loud inside on a street car. Anyone have any input on this that have them installed?

I was talking about on the drivers side. Looking to route a charge pipe from a rear mount up to the front. just wondering if I could get a 2.5" pipe somewhere amongst the steering shaft, tubular mount, or block if the alternator is moved out of the way.

I agree, it should work. People run larger down pipes through that side without issues.
