Roots boost rebuild questions.... I broke part of a ringland on #7 so my motor just got dropped off at the machine shop today for inspection.
My set up made 540/575 on 11lbs of roots boost.
My LS1 was 10.1:1 until i threw 243's on there which made it 10.5:1. Should I be interested in a dished piston to bring my compression ratio back down a bit. I get the feeling that i dont need to lower it a bunch since im not running mucho boost. What is the sweet spot for 11lbs of roots boost?
For my rebuild im not going to go real wild since this is only a street car. I need some suggestions for forged pistons (Mahle, Diamond, JE, Wiesco) and some decent rods (Scat, Callies, etc). I willing to spend money, just dont feel the need to over build. Needs to hold up to about 600-650HP on 11lbs of boost.
