need help asap tt lt1 breaking up in boost
so i got the car running and fnally got insurance on t so i took it out and it willnt let me get into boost maybe 3 psi until it breaks up. if i dump on it right away it will break up right away and get no to barley any boost. if i pedal it in first gear i can get boost on the top end. but as soon as i put it in 2nd gear it breaks up. it breaks up on the trans break at about 2.5 to 3 k last year i went to 6000 min and had 20+ psi, but it will let me get boost in park with no load maybe 3 psi enough to open the bov. i redid my cold pipes, intercoolers, new converter, i got fuel pressure, the map sensor is on the intake so i wouldnt think the cod pipes and intercoolers would effect that. its a sd tune. the plugs are cheap coopers plugs that have about 2000 miles on them when i redid the powder coat i didnt go internal on the engine just the covers ect came off. i didnt even pull the spark plugs out. so im stumped i went through every wire to make sure there right. after arket harness. the car idles perfect until u try to get into boost with a load.
but here is what i changed
moved mt driver knock sensor back about 3 inches to clear the engine mount better
intercoolers
shorter cold pipes
new converter
i left some e85 in the tank but i ran 15 galons threw it already and put another 12 galons in it yesterday have 44 psi at idle and dont see the pressure drop. so the filter souldnt be clog
im thinking plugs and wash the fuel filters out. ( i have metal mesh washable) but i wouldnt think those wouldnt get me into boost knowing how this thing purrs at idle. do i need a retune?
