Maintenance/Oil changes on turbo car.
Hello guys, Picking up a 2006 GTO sometime today that has a single front mounted turbo. This is new to me besides my 2006 Duramax, but is there a recommended oil? Oil change intervals? I always ran Mobile 1 Synthetic in my 02 Z28, is this okay? The turbo is a Borg Warner S372.
Any other advice would be much appreciated. Like I said, I've never owned a boosted vehicle besides my truck, and it came with it from the factory.

I use either standard rotella 15-40 or Delvac 15-40. If on e85 I change it every 800-1000 miles sense I usually beat the hell out of it. If on 91oct I change it every 2000-2500 miles.

I've tried Amsoil, Royal Burple, and a flock of others I forget but the one that works best for me is Mobile One every 3k. The others had problems like getting by the seals (mosquito fogging), inconsistent oil pressure, excess consumption, etc. I am starting to use Rotella T in everything else.

Rotella T is designed to take a beating. Why you guys changing it early? Ive met people who change their oil at 30,000. Personally I run 10k then change. I drive locally though.

Thanks for the advice guys. Where can I order the Rotella? Is there a sponsor with decent prices?
Also, Can I get your opinion on this. Car has 65k miles on stock trans (still stock stall) and 17k miles since the build was done. Would you change the fluid? Everything I read about keeping the stock trans alive people are saying to change the fluid every 15k miles or so, but I've always heard if a trans has taken a beating it can be bad to change the fluid. Im about to move to a different state and remodeling a house as a rental, money is a bit tight and I'd like to keep the trans alive for a year so I can save for an upgrade.
Edit: Heres some pictures of the car

Tella for me aswell. I change the fuel filter aswell at every oil change and plugs every 5 oil changes. I ran meth injection aswell. I will say this if you live where its very humid rotella takes some warming up to get rid of condensation. I had to change my pcv set up to aid this. But in all rotella for the win..

I have used rotella for years. It gets very nasty in my car after 1k miles, looks like diesel oil after 5k. I beat the snot out of it, that and the rich AFR used with FI warrent more frequent oil changes. I just am trying out 2050 vr1, and am about to check it's condition compaired to the rotella after 500 miles tomorrow.
