sears point is by the rule, I will race there often so I will have to make the car lagit by their standards... until then I can go to sac which is more lax about running..

well it was a still a bit to lean, I was watching the boost and not the afr and hit 18psi and saw the afr flashing 13 or something and the smoke fallowed.. bummer.. it blew the oil cap off and had oil coming out the exhaust.. figured I ate some pistons..

well I got it all pulled down today, wasn't a lean problem lol
I wasn't to sure when I first pulled the passenger side head off

but I was wondering why there was some marks in the top of the piston on the left side, then I pushed it down lol and pulled it out

like I found out why they say 01 4.8's are notorious for loosing rods with 15+psi boost.. thing is it doesn't look like they bent but just broke.. maybe the ex side was finally free enough now..
heres where im at today, I have the motor almost together. Im just waiting on the cam to get here as the other one got messed up when the 4.8 lost the rods. And come to find out today the studs are different length in the l33 block.. so I have to get those to get it stabbed in and going.
