Default best turbo for money

I am working on building a 5.3 turbo setup in my 69 chevelle. I have gotten most of the car done and now time for the motor. I have a 5.3 from truck and wondering what turbo or turbos would be the best for me? I want to stay under
$1000 for turbo/s I plan on starting keeping it original internals and play around adding things my goals are to get 800+ hp eventually and don't want to have to upgrade turbos later
thanks for any input

S475 here with 1.32a/r and 96mm turbine. Zero issues... only $650 from ForcedInductions.com. suppose to support 1050hp flywheel. Really happy with mine.

I have to agree too, a 472 or 475 is about the best it gets for the money. You simply cannot break one of these things.

If doing twins, and space is limited twin TC 76 or 78's would be cheap but not under a grand. Thats not really feasible unless using cheapy super 60 or China GT45. BW units the best single for the money but they are big.
