Dusted off El Toro, won the race too!
So due to soft car count last year, they changed up the rules for 315 and opened it up to big tire back half cars. This year cars like that have been going 4.70's and 4.80's with 60 ft times in the 1.0 range.
So El Toro got some plugs, new fluids, new tires and we ran the event yesterday.
Congrats Andy on the W!
Qual pass 1: 5.2x@14x mph, low boost 15 psi
Qual pass 2: 4.93@154 1.24
Elim pass 1: 5.00@148 to their 4.95@141, beat big tire Gremlin that runs almost every weekend good car. Andy tree'd him .009 to their .089, he went 1.24 and they went 1.08. And both cars pedaled it mid track one of the most exciting races I think for Andy's car ever.
Elim pass 2: 4.83@158i to their spinning pass, Luther Camaro. They usually run 4.7's@151mph spun off the hit.
Final pass 3: 4.79@158 1.19 against 106mm turbo Mustang that went 5.20. Not a lot of runs on that Mustang but they had all the good parts.
We should be racing more now so come follow the FB page for updates: https://www.facebook.com/Lastls1Racing
I heard the DA started at 3700 but by 11:30PM the last pass it had cooled down a lot. Props to MDRA and Jason at VP for the track prep, never seen the grove hook that good. Duck was up here to hanging out.
Woo!
Miller time!
