Default hotside pipes extending past flange?

I am starting a 5.3 build with a s480 t6 1.32 and only want to design the hotside once. It will be a max effort build once i get the bugs worked out with cheaper (junkyard) engines. That said the engine will always remain a 5.3 so the displacement will not increase. I am going to run v banded truck manifolds and 2 1/4" piping for the crossover, there will be no merge as the turbo is a twin scroll and i have two pipes and my main concern is velocity. That being said does anyone run their pipes past the flange of the turbo up into the turbine housing or is there no benefit to doing this?

Default

I tried to do it in mine but the twin scroll of the turbo is odd shaped right at entry.
