Default C6 manifolds for turbo?

After some searching I haven't found the answer.

I'm doing an ls swapped turbo foxbody. I want to keep the ac, but the truck manifolds won't allow me to do that. The c6 manifold look like they would clear the compressor, but I'm not sure. Anyone use them? Or is there another type of manifold I could use that will? Trying to keep costs down by not having to have headers build too.

Thanks guys.

I built a turbo kit like that. C6 manifold facing rear, then cut up a u bend mandrel piece to turn back around and go around the compressor. I had to use a BMR turbo K member to do that. Not sure what your options are for a foxbody K member or if they offer the same clearance.

Guess I should of be more clear. I forgot you could use these manifold any way short of turning them inside out.

I wanted to do a kit with the manifolds facing forward and still clearing the ac compressor.

IIRC, that won't work unless you flip it upside down on the passenger side. Which is why I had to leave it facing the rear then wrap it back around. Maybe if you can cut the flange off and use a vband you'll have more flexibility. Hopefully someone else will chime in but I'm almost positive I tried it the way you mentioned.

I planned to hack the flanges up a bit and run vbands

I used C6 manifolds for the build in my '69 Nova. Different routing than you I'm sure, but at least something to look at and may give you some ideas.

Looks great man!

I seen someone on here who's used the c6 headers on a fox swap, and they've cleared everything. He said it looked like they would clear the compressor, was t sure.

I used the C6 driver mani on the passenger side on my fbody to clear the A/C compressor. You can see my build thread on here. Not sure that helps you any with the foxbody though.
