Dumb question on piping/couplers

I need to order a few couplers for my build . I have the coupler size figured out but kind of confused on the tbolt size i need .

For a 4" pipe do i need a 4" tbolt or do i add the couple thickness and order and 4.5" clamp ?

Some of the listings i been looking at on ebay say the measurements are ID, some say they are OD and others donet say at all so im kinda confused

Thanks for any clarification

i ordered all my stuff from siliconeintakes.com. most of those companies will make it easy. if u have a 4" pipe, youd buy a 4" coupler. etc etc.

Coupler size same and clamp size... 3" pipe= 3" clamp and so on. Ebay my friend lol.
