Default ID this turbo?

A buddy of mine is selling this, and I was thinking about grabbing it for a 5.3/Mustang build.

Its a T6 based 76, BW unit, other than that, I am not sure. I have a feeling its a non standard exhaust housing?
There is no a/r stamped into the housing, which I find to be a little odd...its a 5" exhaust outlet.

That looks like those surplus military turbos.

Basically a reverse rotation s400.

HT3...?.BHT3...? something like that.

I'll see if I can find that old thread.

I think they were selling in a lot of 4, and going for like 900 for all 4.

Hmmm, I don't like the sound of that.

I was reading this going, no, he's not right...then you said 'BHT3'....the turbo is in a nice box, from a company called turbodriven.com, and part of the label thats stuck on it is ripped of, but you can clearly see a BH on there...
bummer.

Whats up with the reverse rotation? Are they worth a damn power wise?

Here is the old thread on YB

http://www.yellowbullet.com/forum/sh...litary+surplus

Warning long thread...

Here is a specific post on the specs

http://www.yellowbullet.com/forum/sh...8&postcount=27

Seem to be fine for 600-650 HP, but originally used in a compound setup.

Turbodriven is Borg Warner.

That unit is an HT3B unit. 74mm reverse rotation. The turbine housing will be in CM^2 as they are replacement for Holset's reverse rotation units.
