yep wanted to see what it did without it, going to do v8 springs and a football next
i built my malibu for 3900 and i built this car for like 5500, but spent foolishly a few times, if you wait it out and trade or get good deals it can be done super cheap, the original fairmont i built for 4200 including the price of the car.
i am going to put in a cam next and run it again, then maybe some other small tweaks and see how it does, then swap in the BW turbo

So how much money do you have in this thing including the cost of the car? My wife and I might be picking up a '59 Edsel 4 door and I plan on doing something similar and am curious how budget friendly you build these things for.
Are you going to push the 4.8 and see how deep into the 10s it takes you or are you going to cam it now and swap turbos?

Doh, wanted to see the ZR1 cam in action with a "high reving" 4.8. I picked up a ton just shifting at 6500 vs 6k with it. Seems like you trade alot of power down low for top end charge with that cam. Looks like 5.3 guys are seeing 80-90ft lb increase (NA) over 6k with it.
Nowhere near as good as the tripple 12 should be though, that's what Stock48 suggested I run in my car as well. Good luck with it!

What ever u do keep the 4.8 until she gives if she ever does..I honestly think 4.8's are the strongest stock short block built and can handle higher horsepower numbers longer

i really dont have goals other than to go fast and see if these big boy turbos are really worth the money over some 300 dollar ones
i think the better turbo will make better power of course, but how much more power and at what cost.
the car is already scooting 11.0 @ 126 with totally stock suspension and mediocre 60fts lol, it has no cage and is already out of its cert safety range

I'm probably gonna run this glide I just got a 1000 dollar ptc converter built for it so that is one reason why I don't really want to chunk it.haha
