Congrats Matt!!!
Two questions- not sure if the wording is appropriate but-
what is that turbo capable of supporting(hp)?
And what's the next step to get this car into the EIGHTS?!!?!
Thanks for your time and contributions. Be safe buddy.

Hey guys, was lurking and saw some interest in the $60 valve springs. I found them here: http://store.speedmaster79.com/showp...1180-coil-bind

X235 is a local class to me. Few of those guys right here in town (and on these forums). They don't allow billet wheels.

Matt,
First off, I want to thank you for posting so much info on your builds and what works and what doesn't. It has really helped me with my 54 pickup TT 5.3L build. What do you have your shift point set at? Does it bang the limiter before hitting the shift when blowing the tires off on the street? Mine seems to rev so fast when its spinning that it hits the limiter before the trans can shift.

Keep up the great work!
Joe

Mostly 1/8th mile, but I've actually seen them make quarter mile passes so I don't know what the deal is there. 5.60s is the average. I think the record is 5.3x. Class is mostly dominated by mustang trailer queens that might be street legal but aren't street driven. Turnout is surprisingly high, and some of the guys are great guys.

Minimum weight for small block turbo is 3300, which is almost exactly where I plan to be when I'm done. Problem is my billet wheel. The track is 20 minutes from me. I didn't know about the class until last year when I bumped into another LS1tech member with an X235 sticker on his car.

Seems like 75% of the field is Mustangs. Last year a 69 Nova took first place. Someone told me he might've been running a Ford motor. I heard he's going to a 396" LS with a turbo this year.

Here are tons of pictures of the cars, but not much info on them. I honestly can't find a single site with some good solid info on combos, results, etc. Just tons of tidbits and pictures spread across dozens of sites. I'll have to make it out to a few races this year. https://www.facebook.com/pages/X235/...277?ref=stream

That half track shot is truly impressive!

Just checking Denmah, does that base model coolingmist kit have a pressure switch and a check valve, or a solenoid?

This build is a friggin beast.
