the truck is even more worthless with anything other than a 6.0, and i am not a scumbag so i wont put in a smaller motor and tell someone its a 6.0

and honestly i like the underdog 4.8s

its only you guys that want the 6.0 lol

Not just popular... A HERO! lol

You should open a "Sloppy Car Clinic"... everyone bring their car and a friend to help in over a weekend and leave out turbo'd.

Thanks again for sharing all you do with us.

...and the reviews would be something like: "I just went in for an oil change, now my car is really good at merging with traffic and has lots of passing power, but makes a funny whistle noise. The mechanic said the whistle noise is normal and I'll need tires soon. - Gertrude H. age 78" Hahaha.

getting pretty far!
completed bleeding the brakes
removed the mock up 80e,
installed a TCI shifter i got off amazon for 148 shipped
installed the 6.0 flex and spacer, installed the circle D and good trans
put in the explorer yolk
measured for a driveshaft
tried some coolant hoses today that didnt fit
ran the entire fuel system and mounted the pump and regulator, cut everything to size, dont have the power connectors for the pump, booo, so that will wait.
got a battery tie down kit from the auto store while i was there
did some electrical work and tried fitting and getting all the harness plugged in and ready, zip tied and made sure everything is clear and out of the way etc

pulling more out of the truck... i yanked the cam today, with a dowel in place, and the loosest lifter in the world went strait to the windage tray, lol! first time that has ever happpened, so that sucked, had to pull the pan and tray, luckily i could do that while it was installed, wasnt too bad, then tore off the cyl head and reinstalled it after i got the cam in, and everything seems good now haha, got the rest of it buttoned up and started filling the block, gotta bolt up the converter and then starter and see if she fires.
