Kurt, how did you keep the torque from completely twisting that car apart?
Cage?

He said I want an F-Body that goes 7s. What would you have built him?
Probably a stripped Z28 hardtop with a similar drivetrain.

See now if they wanted to keep the aftercooler setup I would think a stripped hardtop formula would offer better aero for less drag. If he thought he might switch up to a front mount, then yeah I can see the Z being the better choice. Just a thought.

Mike,
The subframe was tied together with the rollcage to keep the car stiff.

If I had to "just do it" I would buy a 91-92 firebird for the aero and the factory strut frontend. It would not be a convertable.(they are cool though)
Engine would be 4.010 bore with 3.625 stroke. (if ls1 tech race would use lt1)
Turbocharged for sure, one or two would depend on class. Air to water intercooler.
Big stuff 3 ECU of course.
Liberty "equalizer" or Bruno 3 speed Automatic.
Big budget dream cars are only done your way if its your money....its not fair!

You have full rain over car choice(ie formy, Z, T/A, hardtop, vert, whatever), FI route, engine disp (let's keep it a gen 3 motor though), fuel management, etc.

What do you mean "if"? Sounds like a car I saw in a shop not too long ago
