NON Intercooled E85 guru's please help!!!!
OK, got my car tuned yesterday by Romans. LQ4,bw s475, 13 psi, turbo cam, 80's, th350 no stall, 3:42's, e85, no intercooler, blah, blah.
Car only made 508 at the rears and intake temps were at 223. We used all of the 80's to compensate for all the heat of the turbo. I cannot run an intercooler. There is no room and i am not willing to chop up my perfectly restored 66 nova non post. So, with that said.
What are my options?
Water injection?
Water/Meth?
120's?
What would you guys do? PS, this is a driven street car, no air to water in the trunk or anything like that.
THANKS

OK. After giving this alot of thought, I believe the best thing to do is yank the E85 and run a triple nozzle meth kit and 91. This will give me room on my injectors, cool the temps and give me better mileage. Thoughts?

I think that is the worst way to go about this. Who cares if it is at 225 that is what the fuel is for. Did it stop picking up power with timing? I have a very hard timing believing 3 nozzles and 91 would be any better then e85 alone.
Also that is a good number if the converter is loose. Dyno numbers are just that numbers. I had a BBC drag car make 468rwhp here two weeks ago, and he went 9.05@148.

It would be a mistake not to listen to Hellbent.
The intake air temps don't matter to us, either...
I know they make some people nervous, but with E85 you will never know the actual temps after the e85 is injected.
We have seen our IATs peg the sensor(245 degrees) less than a second into these runs.
This is with two injectors mounted in the up-pipe, injecting extra E85 fuel upstream.
We have been 800 Rwhp on 80 lb injectors, with E85. Are you making more than that?
Can you mount extra injectors up stream, or have you ever thought of that?
like these,

this will give you more fuel, and some cooling of the intake charge.

I know E85 does cool the intake charge quite a bit, say the Iat on the sensor is 200 degrees, what is the charge temp at the injector with e85? 130 degrees? I know E85 will cool the mixture, just curious how much.

some peolpe put an A2W inside of the car. not sure if thats possible for you but itd keep your from chopping up the outside of the car. who cares if the firewall gets a hole in it. only thing is no one can ride in the pass side. hopefully you have some corn in your area.

Gosh everyone's answer is "put meth on it!! Put like 6 nozzles on it, it will blow snow and attract polar bears to your intake."
Meth had its place in history (grand national days) but now we have more efficient turbos, innercoolers, and fuels. All of which are way more effective then meth. To me, meth is a bandaid.

yes, you will need water inj, the more water the more cooling...not more meth...what size injectors ? 80's ?? seem small to me..we run 160's on E85 no intercooler, 50/50 water meth...single nozzle right now, going to add another soon..

80's seem small. How many fuel pumps? One pump and 80's are probably not enough. What is the fuel pressure set at?
FWIW- I ran JY 6.0 with used 160's, 50psi base, E85, no intercooler and ran 6.04 in the 1/8th and daily driven. I had very high AT's but ran like a charm. Mine only dynod 577 to the wheels. Yet my car weighed 3700lbs. Thats closer to 750 to the wheels. Dynos are a tool for tuning. Nothing more.
