NON Intercooled E85 guru's please help!!!!
Car only made 508 at the rears and intake temps were at 223. We used all of the 80's to compensate for all the heat of the turbo. I cannot run an intercooler. There is no room and i am not willing to chop up my perfectly restored 66 nova non post. So, with that said.
What are my options?
Water injection?
Water/Meth?
120's?
What would you guys do? PS, this is a driven street car, no air to water in the trunk or anything like that.
THANKS
Also that is a good number if the converter is loose. Dyno numbers are just that numbers. I had a BBC drag car make 468rwhp here two weeks ago, and he went 9.05@148.

The intake air temps don't matter to us, either...
I know they make some people nervous, but with E85 you will never know the actual temps after the e85 is injected.
We have seen our IATs peg the sensor(245 degrees) less than a second into these runs.
This is with two injectors mounted in the up-pipe, injecting extra E85 fuel upstream.
We have been 800 Rwhp on 80 lb injectors, with E85. Are you making more than that?
Can you mount extra injectors up stream, or have you ever thought of that?

this will give you more fuel, and some cooling of the intake charge.

I know E85 does cool the intake charge quite a bit, say the Iat on the sensor is 200 degrees, what is the charge temp at the injector with e85? 130 degrees? I know E85 will cool the mixture, just curious how much.

Meth had its place in history (grand national days) but now we have more efficient turbos, innercoolers, and fuels. All of which are way more effective then meth. To me, meth is a bandaid.

FWIW- I ran JY 6.0 with used 160's, 50psi base, E85, no intercooler and ran 6.04 in the 1/8th and daily driven. I had very high AT's but ran like a charm. Mine only dynod 577 to the wheels. Yet my car weighed 3700lbs. Thats closer to 750 to the wheels. Dynos are a tool for tuning. Nothing more.
