are you concerned about that very short air filter restricting intake flow, choking the turbo? there is very little surface area on that filter.

Yeah hopefully in a week or two should get it tuned... The wheels on camaro are iforged wheels not sure what model wheel though. Here's a pic of the hood we tried adjusting the hood for clearance before we to modify the hood... The my friend said "make it work" and so we did....

Oh wow. It would have fit WAY worse on the hood with my turbo even if it didn't have all the other clearance issues. Dang,

Good fab work though.

We tried not cutting anything at all but it was either get a new hood or cut this one but to be honest it looks cool!... But a bigger turbo will require more cutting! This is just a T-series turbo....

Hinson ground down the top of the compressor housing to make it fit.

Damn, a kit for a c5 but doesn't fit a c5. Lol! I'm a picky person but i would of tried milling the flanges of the turbo and header a bit to see if i could of made it clear.

Now you have me worried mine wont fit. My turbo is a bit smaller being a TC series and I'm all but positive I got it low enough. But seeing this makes me keep second guessing. Oh well, I'll find out in a few weeks

Cant wait to see your numbers!

-Edit-
After staring at it and comparing pics I think I'll clear. Not only does your turbo have a bigger compressor housing, but it looks like Hinson angled the turbo upward(probably to get the inlet over the radiator). I purposely angled mine down to clear the hood, my compressor is about level with the turbine.

Hinson:

I do believe that a TC unit will fit without cutting hood the way we did remember this is a T-series not the TC-series turbo with smaller compressor housing I think per instructions from hinson you still need to trim the inner frame of the hood. oh we also used the A&A radiator support spacers to lower the radiator. We will use a fome type filter

Doesn't someone make a motor mount to lower the motor minimally?

Hinson does so the fast intake clears. I don't think it would be enough though in this case.

My friend bought it from the corvette forums I think it's the one they use on the A&A kits? Simplified things with that intercooler and got a good price on it as well.

Remember you can also space down the cradle 1/4".... to get some more hood clearance.. You'll never notice the increased ride height...and it actually offsets the weight of the turbo some... I had to space mine .200" and remove the hood insulation to clear my F1R.

Thick shank style lug nut washers work well for spacing the cradle down .200".. Just cut a slot in the washer to slide it inbetween the cradle and frame around the stud.
