Should have some rough pics of the y pipe fabbing by the morning. Also a tech from Fluidyne is coming out to measure for a custom radiator this evening.

I didn't even know he called you Martin. He's doing and handling all engine stuff. We're just getting the turbo kit components fabricated then he'll have to take it all back apart when he get the other motor done. We discussed last night that he may ride for a while on the stock ls1 the make sure there are no bugs with heating and cooling and leaks and so on. Before he switches engines and really pours it to it.
Here's what we got done last night. Y pipe is fabbed but still gotta add the wastegate flange depending on where it has to go. He's running out of run fast under there lol.
Welding the manifold flanges and the seams up but like I said we are waiting on welding the turbo flange until we decide where the wastegate is going.

I believe he had contacted another cam grinder, and I personally felt the cam was much too large for his set-up.
We're trying to currently figure out how large we can enlarge the valve spring pockets to fit the proper diameter valve spring for a mechanical roller.
Old cam was 262/264 degrees duration@.050" IIRC and the cam I specified for him is 251/259.
Keep in mind, that a solid roller camshaft will act nearly 10-15 degrees larger @.050" than a comparable hydraulic grind. So in all reality this is really more like a 237/245 camshaft.
Which for a nasty 408 with a big large frame turbo is rather mild.

2.5". He wants to make big power in the future. He was talking big numbers at one time but money will slow the numbers down lol.

Yeah the only true way for control is twin gates at the bends like you have it but this is a ebay 44mm gate and not sure if it is gonna be large enough anyway. I have a 50mm JGS on mine and its not enough to control mine and that's why I can get 10+psi from a little hallman manual controller that's only suppose to add 5psi. He says he will be on 20psi of boost and with that huge turbo and monster 130mm turbine not sure if he will even need the gate anyway. We will see. Just working with the parts he provides. If it doesn't work to suit him we will change it. Wont be to much trouble. Trying to cram a lot of stuff in a tight spot and still have it the ay he wants it.
