Well I have a Twin Turbo car that I have had since about March and have only driven 3 times because of stupid issues I cant seem to get worked out like the plug boots being so damn close to the manifold it melts them after a few pulls. Another issue is I get a good puff of blue smoke a lot of times when I stop. The car likes to run a little warm, was overheating but now it is better but still too warm for me. The car has a terrible exhaust leak somewhere that all of the exhaust side is going to have to be taken apart and seals replaced and on my way back from a friends house the steering column stared rubbing against the drivers side manifold when I am turning.
When I can drive it it is fun as hell but all of these little issues add up annoyance and money wise and I am starting to regret the turbos and wishing I had gone blower instead.

A .96ar will work great on what you got. I had 383 with a 76mm that made 747 to the wheel on 16 psi. But over the years I've found that the 1.15 ex housings do well on ls based engines they seem to spool faster and don't run out on the big end. That's what I've learned . I have a s480 right now on a 6.0 with a stock cam and it works flawlessly.

Here is another question. Since I am necking the exhaust port down to 3" is the larger 1.15 vs. .96 going to matter? Will the BP actually be less with the 1.15 compared to the .96 with it exiting through a 3" DP?
I guess what I'm asking is this. Will The slower spool up of the 1.15 be justified with the drop in back pressure?

Id look at the Turbonetics or Precision 7875 or 7879...For example I put down the numbers in my sig at 12lbs and it made over 700with 2 more lbs on a lq4 with 3' exhaust and a cutout
Id also think about running meth at the higher boost levels to help with detonation if youre set on pump gas

Precison 7675 will you get there easily, so will the turbonetics unit. I made the numbers in my sig and turned it down to 14lbs, which is still over 700whp (it made 690 at 12lbs). When it comes to the power this turbo delivers and its physical size, its awesome. DO NOT waste your time with anything that has a turbine smaller than 75mm, especially on a 6.0l. BTW, my stock t56 has help up just fine and it gets raced all the time.
Leave the motor alone, put a cam in it if you want. Run E85 or 93+meth and turn the boost up. The bottom end will be just fine if your tune is good.

Heres one thing ive learned, Turbine wheel size is determined by how much the motor flows exhaust gas, Air ratio (a/r) is only used for tuning purposes, basically spool time/powerband . but of course early spool means less top end and vice versa. Just like what a CAM does.

I run 80lb injectors but they are maxed at 16psi with E85. On 93 they would have plenty of room.

Ill know what its making at that level in a few weeks when I hit the dyno at Tick. FIC 1000cc injectors also here. Plenty of room to grow and not to big.

While a tc78 isn't perfect it has gone 9.0's@150mph on a lightweight 6.0 LS Mustang.
Spend the extra money on something with a 75mm turbine or bigger. For 700rwhp it'll be a cakewalk. I would run meth inj if you plan to use pump gas. You could always blend pump gas and e85 to make e50....
What gears out back?

I'm hoping to keep the stock lq4 ecu. 80lbs is what I had in mind. I can find Bosch 80lb injectors cheap. I run an s366 on my 7.3 with a 46mm gate and that little bastard screams. It puts out 550whp no problem. I like BW but space is an issue wit this build. I'm also running an R200 rear diff with a 3.54 ratio, I like the spread a lot. Any suggestions on a good sized gate? Also brand? I like to save money where I can. Ill most Likely drop the coin on the charger and pinch elsewhere if I can

Drag racing = One big Single Turbo... Later Spool but holy hell Top end (Drag Racing ya only gotta spool it once and your done after making a pass)
Street Car = Twin Turbos that are smaller= Quicker spool time! (A Plus w a 6 spd Street Car)

There are a few guys running twins but they are dedicated race cars. I think I could make twins fit, that was my first thought. Honestly though with the weight of this car and a good low lag single turbo I think it will light a lot sooner than you fbody guys are used to. There tons of single turbo LSZ's out there.
