Thats way to lean for a street tune. I'd have him fatten it up to around 11.0-11.5. Other wise kiss your motor good bye. He tuned mine to 12.0 even though I asked him to go 11.0-11.5, he swore up and down it would be fine. First WOT run on the street and it started pinging.

Hey Guys,

This car is very cool for sure. Looks great and runs right there with the looks. A bit too loud for me though Needs some serious grip right now like Nittos at least and a set of BMR lowering springs.

As far as the tune goes, it is not conservative, but where I prefer to put them as long as the timing is right. There are a lot of opinions on this for sure A/F wise and I can make changes to be sure it is all under 12.0, but road testing showed no detonation in the heat of the day. If there is a need for a change on your car MYTURBOTA, please bring her back and we will sort it out for you, no problem.

Later,

Mike

i would def consider 12/1 to be lean not rich on a dynojet dyno with a blower car. you are thinking of a n/a car settings. i also would shoot for 11.2-11.5/1 max on a dynojet. the power peaks higher than i thought it woould for a stock internal car. i thought it would peak at 6000 rpms or so, anyways, great results. enjoy it.

Depending on the timing, I would run it fatter than that, 11.5:1 or so at WOT.

Numbers look great good luck this summer.

What is the main reason for running extra rich? Detonation of course, but because the PCM might make a mistake? Or fuel might not be disperse evenly ?

Just curiose what made you go Vortech over say ATI?. Was it b/c of the spring loaded tensioner that Vortech uses or was it b/c you can actually see your s/c for the "bling appeal"?. Nice numbers btw

I could fatten it up some but like my tuner Mike Norris has already said, there is no detonation audible what so ever, so I'm gonna screw with it.

by the way this is only on 7 lbs of boost.
