Cool Dyno numbers

448/420

2002 SS with all bolt ons and Vortech w/aftercooler
not sure what boost level was cause we don't have a gauge on it yet, tomorrow i'll know. I'm thinking 7-8psi.

My tuner said my converter was slipping about 200 rpm and that is worth some hp.

Car is a WHINER now, no mistaking what I got.. peak hp was at 6400 rpm. a/f was 12:1 throughout-very conservatively tuned.

took her for a spin, remarkably drives like stock but when you hit the go pedal the rpms climb REALLY fast. I have 18 inch 295 Toyos and it spins them effortlessly even at part throttle.

I'm really happy with the numbers considering its an automatic and this is in sunny humid Florida, no Texas nitrous air here.

was gonna do cam but i'm happy where its at for now. I have a friend that wants to lend me his 315 BFG's with skinnies but I'm afraid of cracking the trans and the rear. I want to enjoy it for at least a week.

New times will come I promise. Gotta do some suspension work now for sure.

wow... those numbers are close to the last numbers i saw from that shop

(the 448 i posted in your other thread)

but with a stalled auto, thats good.

do you have headers?

yes headers no cats,

stock t.b, just normal bolt ons with a vortech and tuned of course.

i will be trying another simple mod to get me another 20 hp.

nice for 7-8psi.

i dunno know...12:1 a/f...is conservative?

i would think 11:0 would be conservative..IMO.

nonetheless...very nice.

I have on the contrary. (San Antonio, Houston, Dallas, and South Padre Island.. I just find it funny that there are high hp dynoeing cars there while the rest of the country usually dynoes lower...

Looking good, I would of had it tuned to 11:1 for sure, right now you are probably close to 13:1 on the street, hope for no detonation in the hot summer heat....

Kit looks good, glad to see it worked out well, good #'s

thanks bigbos, you only lean out a half point on the street. I can always ask Mike to tune it richer, he said it would be ok. I trust his judgement since he has played with a lot more ls1's than I have.

o yea not that it matters a whole lot but the dyno runs were done on those on 18 x 10 rims

just as i run it on the street.
