My mustang street car I built this year...
UPDATE:
Video made thanks to 1320video....

I haven't posted a build thread or much about this car, so here's some info on it. Maxxmitchell and I built it for a fun street car that I can drive all over the place and race this year.
Originally built it with a forged 347 and twin 6766 turbos, powerglide, ptc converter, 3.08 gears, 8.50 legal, holley dominator efi, treadstone a2a intercooler(no packing ice for me! ) and a 20 gallon fuel cell so can drive it a lot.
In May it had a shaft on the precision 6766 break so I bought a pair of tc76 turbonetic turbos(we've had nothing but solid luck with these turbos) and put in my 408 I had sitting on the stand, been running it the rest of the year.
We run a heads up street tire(no drag radials) race at a track a few hours away, best this year on a pure street tire is 9.56 at 159mph. If I can get more passes in(no local track makes it harder), I'd like to try to go 9.3's at 163-165 on the street tires.
We ran the mini cash days up in Omaha put on by 1320video and a few others earlier this year. 24 cars, heads up on the street, and ended up having an injector issue causing car to break up but still won the race.

2 weeks ago we had our annual mustang fbody meet here in KC, this year we did heads up 1/8th mile race at the track. Cars had to complete a 55 mile cruise to the track, $100 buy in, $1000 added, $2150 to win. 14 cars entered, and with a win in 2nd round against a faster car thanks to a killer reaction time, I got to continue on and win event. Over 200 miles got put on the car this day and only simple pack chute, change tune, and tire pressure at the track, no working on it!
go pro vids of the car..
Finally got to hit a 1/4 mile track again last weekend to put put up a new best, we had it SOFT down low just making sure it'd go down the track. New best times with only 5 hits then it broke the sfi flexplate...
8.34 at 169, best mph in the other slip being 170.84

This has been a great replacement to my rx7 and a fun car to race all year. I'll do some minor changes over the winer and be looking for that 7 second slip next year!

Man....I love this car and you in a totally straight, non-prison sort of way...this is great.
How'd you like the glide on the street? I am back and forth between the 80e and a glide with the current lean towards 80e because I have a nice low mileage one in my garage.
Really cool...great to see stuff like this out there and killing it.

That's really great to hear. Very jealous. I'm just trying to get my junk running soon. Just out of curiosity, as you show it in the pics, is that how you run it on the street with the fat tires? Reason I ask is that I would love to go with that look but the cops are brutal around here. That is why I am going towards the sleeper approach....stay off the radar...literally.

I run it both on the street tires and the slicks on the street, no issues so far and I've had cops follow me. I'm really not a fan of the slick on the street, but it works so damn well and when trying to put down this power it works A LOT better than drag radials for me.

Obviously motor size etc changed.
But how was performance and spool between the 6766's and now the new combo with the 76's ?
It's a step up in motor size, but also blower size
