Later in the 04 model year. The majority of 04 engines are the old rods. In 05 they all got the bigger rods. All engine models had the transition at the same time, far as I know..

I got a few also... 26psi was my magic number. Still runs after it happens but has a slight knock LOL. Oh and compression drops about 20psi in the magic cylinders.

I feel like this is a self-fixing problem. Compression gets lowered in the cylinders that work harder and bend rods....problem fixed! No more bending in those cylinders.

LOL. You can feel it drop cylinders when it happens. I was never brave enough to beat on it again after the initial bend. That might lead to catastrophic failures instead of a 6hr rod swap.

I hasn't been on the rollers but its up there pretty good. Twin T-series billet 7668s, TFS heads from Tooley, HiRam, FIC2000, E85 and IDC is over 90% with 50psi base and boost referenced. 16* of timing at 26psi.

This does go to show how strong cast pistons are if the tune is on!
