Interesting. I wounder if you could do a smaller rear mounted heat exchanger and water pump mounted out back. Water cooled would definitely benefit your conditions, that thing will get hot in 600 miles.

Luckily the road closures for special stages are spread out and are over 4 days, so each one only lasts a few miles, then its back to public roads and normal road rules between stages. It's part of a tour so not continuous hard out driving.
