WhiteLTone/Legend Racing 4 day Turbo Build testing at Indy.
Well i figured i can finally sit down and take some time to make a build thread now that all the thrashing and hard work is done.
Ditched the old 347 nitrous combo, Went with an LRE built 370" Lq4, stock crank, compstar rods, custom diamond pistons. Old 225 dart heads from n2o motor, custom grind from Bullet/LRE, stock rockers, lifters, Supervic intake, carb hat, C & S blow thru carb, WORK Turbo cast 80mm turbo. Front drive dist., stock truck manifolds.
Heres a few pics.
It was a successful outing, learning, and testing the new setup. I wanted to get out and get a handle on using my new Leash Electronics boost controller and pulse/bump box. Make a few hits, and get from A to B. First pass off the trailer on low boost i went 5.41 @ 118 clicking it off around 500'. Made a few more hits, fought a small oil leak from the rear lifter valley area, finally narrowed it down to the oil sending unit for my autometer gauge and the bolt holes for the coolant passage plugs. Fixed that. Made another pass Sunday morning. Launched on 3psi off the brake, made 11psi on wastegate spring, 1.30' 60' - 8.65 @ 140, letting out of it alittle over 7 seconds into the run. Im looking forward to pushing this setup harder next spring. It was good to get some seat time before the year is out, its a whole new animal, way different than my old nitrous combo. It will go very fast when we get it sorted out and dialed in on higher boost (25psi or so). Thanks to all my buddies who helped thrash and get this car done, Steve at Legend Racing, Reed at WORK turbo, Eric at MWC for great products and suspension advice at the track, Aerospace for a killer set of brakes, Leash Electronics for a bad *** boost controller setup. Look forward to making a few changes this winter, straping it on the dyno and come out swinging next spring.

...and now its all apart again for winter upates lol. Steve at Legend is gonna go thru the motor,
We're swapping to a aftermarket oil pan setup, adding an aerospace vacuum pump and a few other goodies. While its apart im having all the hotside, motorplate, midplate and a few other things powdercoated.

I can't leave things alone, and it got put together kinda quick and I didn't have time to get the pan/pump set-up I wanted..
We are putting a Stefs pan on it with a Titan external pump, it will stay a wet sump though..

I did make a trans cooler for it though that uses a 5 gallon tank, and 25' of aluminum tubing, and a whole bunch of ice!

Awesome times for first time out with the new setup. I'd like to see a couple pics of how the turbo is mounted and I have been thinking of doing my downpipe out the hood very similar to that. I'm going to have a cutout to run the downpipe thru exhaust for the street then open up thru the hood at the track. What gear are you running?

It currently has a 390 gear, if the converter does it's job it should be good!
We mounted the turbo on a T6 mounting flange that I machined a slot into, then welded an 1/8th plate to. Then we notched the plate to fit around the core support tube that was made by Eric @ MWC.. We put a diagonal on the plate once it was welded to the frame to carry some of the load..

Awesome how big is the cam and converter in the car? You guys are going to have to spin it pretty high to cross the traps on a 1/4mile pass with 3.90 gear and 28" tires? 7500+rpms!!
