Default Blower Belt

I have tighten down my belt and still only see the full 8lbs of boost sometimes and others times 5lbs... I Have a 2001 ws6 with the D1SC 6 rib... I"m going to try the Gator belt and just woundering what size belt i need... I have full exhuast with no cats... They need a 7 digit number to know what size to order... The gator belt seems to have the best luck...Thanks

Is it the stock belt your using with the kit now??? if so go to Orielys or autozone and have them look it up and tell you the length of the belt and go from there...... I had the best luck with Gatorbacks also...... how tight is your belt and what size pulleys are you using?? The way i tightened mine was the best way i found an dwas told thei by BlackLS1TA....... grab the belt with your thumb and pointer finger. Try and twist the belt.... if you can twist it more then 90 degree's then its still to loose...... I saw 7 psi max with the stock crank pulley and a 3.2" blower pulley....... I didnt see much slip either......

The only problem with keeping it that tight is that you have to change out your idler bearings every 4-6 months because they will breakdown faster. Oh well that is the trade off for full boost for me!

try the dayco polycog belts from checkers, dunno if they make them for 6 rib applications,, but for an 8 rib they are far more better that a gatorback.

I have the belt that ATI sent me for the 8lbs... My belt is tight enough... I just don't remember what size belt they sent me.. I called ATI and the guy said they had bad luck with the gator belts and he couldn't tell what size belt i have cause its different from the stock one since i have full exhaust....What Help! I just drive my car everyday and didn't want to wait a couple days while i wait for the gator belt... And would rather do the job in one day...
