Default Fuel system setups.

I've got a 76mm turbo, 80 lb injectors, and twin walbro 255 LPH pumps. I'm thinking everything should be pushing its limits around 800 flywheel HP with E85.

So I'm shooting for the 600-650 whp range. Car hasn't been tuned for boost yet.

What is everyone doing about fuel? What size feed/return? Its a 69 nova and I don't have the stock line as a return for an option. I heard I can use the corvette regulator to prevent me from needing a full length return back to the tank, but will it flow enough? If not what regulator are most of you using? What are you using for E85 compliant fuel line? I'm using old hard-line that was there for my carb setup but it needs to go.

And the stock truck rails, will they support a 650 whp goal on E85? I've heard several people say yes and no. I just want to be sure I get the fuel system up to par before I get it tuned so I don't run dangerously lean up top and blow a low mileage L33.

I'm running twin Walbro 255s, 80lb injectors, stock lines/regulator/rails, e85, and a TC78. I had no problem hitting 614/598 on a Mustang Dyno.

My fuel system is twin walbro 450 E85 Pumps, -8 feed, -6 return, magnafuel FPR, FIC 2000cc injectors. 40 micron to a 10 micron filter. Shooting for 1000rwhp on E85.

Why can't you put a return line in?

Have a read: http://www.performancetrucks.net/for...p-flow-510434/

I use 2 walbro 400s, -8 feed, -6 return, 127lb injectors and have enough fuel for 1350rwhp on gas and about 950 on e85 at 20psi of boost.

I just be worded that weird. I can put in a return line, but I don't have a stock feed line in the car to use as a return, so both my feed and return lines will have to be new line from front to back.

I'm also wondering what people are using for feed/return lines. I priced up braided lines but just the feed line will cost me more than both fuel pumps. Anyone know where to get reasonably priced E85 line?

And I take it the corvette filter/regulator unit won't support 650 on E85? That's the setup I have now but haven't ever pushed it into boost term I was hoping to avoid having to buy enough line to run a full-length return and switching over to a 1:1 regulator but that now seems inevitable.

You should look at Denmahs builds, he has done a few return-less setups that are hitting that 600+ mark.

Call up Lonnies Performance. He'll take care of whatever you need and is always super helpful. Twin 255s, 80lb injectors, Aeromotive FPR (58psi base), -8an feed and -6an return. Injectors hit close to 100% on E85 when it made the numbers in sig. Pumps will be done at 800hp. Im gonna send my stuff back to him soon to upgrade the pumps and get bigger injectors that will support 1000whp on E85. It was the most expensive part of the my build but fuel is the last place I would skimp.

Run some 3/8 hard line front to rear, one for feed one for return, the long sticks of "brake" looking lin. Just use those and connect via the connections, buy the lengths you need. Put a 4305M regulator up front. Cheap and we've proven to work at over 850rwhp.

That's an answer I was looking for. Any recommendations on bending the brake line? My past experiences haven't been as smooth as I had hoped.

Teflon lined pushlok rubber/braided hose would probably be easiest if you aren’t using the OEM 3/8 hardline. Not that it’s needed, but ½” isn’t much more expensive either.

If your going to take the time to bend up custom lines I would just go ½ inch. It’s no more difficult or expensive.

I used thin wall ½ SS hard line ordered form a brewing company (ebay). It’s thin enough that it flares easily and it’s dirt cheap. My bends were less than perfect as well, but if you go 1/2" who cares...

I started looking around for 3/8" brake line.

This is AAS Steel line thats been zinc coated, and it does say 'Can't Kink'.

Its also only $11.99 for 25' plus $8 shipping. So you're saying I could do the bulk of the feed/return for $20? I know I'll need a flare tool and some fittings/braided line up front.

I haven't come across any that is advertised as stainless yet, and I can't check ebay since our work computers have it blocked, but thanks for the suggestions!

Also, I checked on the 4305M Regulator. A 1:1 regulator from a proven company for less than $100 is yet another answer to my problems.
