How much boost should I be seeing?

Default How much boost should I be seeing?

AES 390, ATI IC, F1A w/3.90 pulley tfs 220 and ls6 intake, tuner saw 15 lbs @ 5800 rpms with truck hat. I then switched it with my regular f-body hat and dropped to 13 lbs at 6900 rpms. My belt wasnt aligned right before when my tuner saw 15 lbs. Now that everything looks aligned its only giving me 13 lbs. Is this because of the hats I changed up or is this the norm? DA 6500. Any help appreciated.

You should be around 20# with the truck hat. Why did you switch the filter hats?
What intercooler are you running?

Smaller intakes are going to limit your boost plus you are only revving to 5800. The belt "looks" aligned now or is? What does the boost curve look like?

I changed it because when I got the car back it was falling off ever time i drove onto my driveway. I wsa kind of scared it would damage the impeller. Thats why I switched.

The 5800 was the the higest rpm the tuner saw before the belt walked off the pulley. Its been fixed since then. The boost curve is gradual it kind of flattens out 13# @ 6900 rpm. Would a slipping clutch be the cause of this?

It should still see boost with slipping clutch. Seems like a inlet hat and possibly a intercooler restriction

I think you should be seeing around 16-18 psi with good flowing heads and exhaust.

the tuner should have pulled the hat off and done a pull to verify any problems or possible problems . Id get it to the dyno again with and without a air filter .

I had the same problem. Cut the raised lip off so you have a flat surface area. Never had a problem after that.
