Default Tall deck LSX block for 408 build.

Are any of the shops offering the correct rod/piston combo's for running a 4" stroke with the tall deck LSX block? Seems like it would have advantages over the stock deck height on a boosted motor.
Thanks.

A 4" stroke in a 9.75"- 9.8" deckheight will give you a heavy, undesirable piston.

A 4.25" stroke with a 6.4" rod and that deckheight will make for a better build.

Thanks. So far, the hardest part is having to say "boosted ". I'm used to everything being boosted. All the different block, bore, and stroke combinations are going to take a while to figure out as well.

Have you considered intake options with the tall deck?

I am using a 3.625" stroke with a 9.750" deck and 6.600" rod.

Seems like a good idea to have the piston stay inside the block at the bottom of the stroke. Not sure why a 6.4 rod with the 4" crank wouldn't be fine with the tall deck.
