When is it considered too cold for boost?

Del, put the wood to the Chevelle... It will be fine.... Just don't wrack on it with a cold engine/oil... All my turbo stuff always ran a ton better in cold air.... Keep an eye on the afr the first pass and make sure the EFI is doing what it should be... Traction will be your issue...
I always warm the car up to 200degrees before I ever drive it first time of the day and never romp on it until its been driven for 10 min or so to get trans and gear fluid warmed up.

Thanks for the reply.

If you are running richer or leaner based on temperatures you don't have cylinder bias setup correctly.

It could be 200* intake temps or 40* and if the computer is setup correctly the fueling will be correct

I was just referring that the car is at operating temps before I just on it.

Well we had some fun today. Drove around and showed him how it works and then let him rape it on the highway doing some 15lbs pulls in high gear. Needless to say he had a blast!

They are thinking about opening the track on Saturday. If they do I feel cofident I can get a 5.70 pass. It's a big jump but I feel as though my tune is spot on now. We'll see. I guess the big question is if they can get the track to hold with the colder weather. Supposed to be 45 degrees.

As so many guys already mentioned--for turbo/supercharger apps, the colder the better, as long as you got traction and proper tune you should be ok.

Mine ran hard as hell today in 20 degree Minnesota temps. No traction makes for awesome rolling burnouts though.

Well it was 50 degrees a tail wind.....couldn't have been better. Car was definitely stronger but ripped out the trans on the way up. lol I was able to get it home but once it was there it didn't have any gears. i think I took out the pump again. I checked fluid and it was showing way over full while running so the pump isn't sucking the fluid back in. Oh well that's the only thing still stock on my car. A stock PG probably isn't going to cut it. We'll tear it apart and see what's going on. Probably send the convertor in while I have it out and tightened up a couple hundred rpms and get it checked out.

At least I did it after my son got a chance to drive it. He left a happy young man.
