Advice for a 6.0 turbo build please Hey guys, I got my hands on a 6.0 shortblock and i was told that the best way to build a engine for boost is to go with a 365" setup, I am looking fw to make 15+ pounda of boost..
I already got ARP studs, Ls9 head gaskets and a TBSS intake and T/B, also I have a stage 4 trick turbo kit.
My question is, what kind of Pistons should i get?
What compression should I look fw to?
What kind of rods should i get and how much boost can my stock crankshaft hold? Should I replace it??
What water/meth kit should I get?
Injector size?
I will install a 4l80e with a 3600stall..

First off what are the goals the vehicle? What kind of car/truck?
If you want under 700hp you can keep the stock short block and run either meth or e85. Go alky control if you do meth, julio is the man.
Depending on fuel would help us pick out injectors and fuel pumps.
What turbo do you have? Id go for about 9.5:1 comp, get dual springs and set them up for around 180 seat pressure. There are many sponsors that can spec a cam.
A 3600 stall will most likely be fine but again need more info.

My truck is a 06 RCSB 4wd and want to go anything over 700rwhp..
I have a trick turbo stage 4 that is a Precision 76/75 J/B turbo with .96 ar..
Will do meth injection, the best octane gas I can get around is 91-92 octane that's why i need to put a meth kit on my setup..
My currently mods are on my signature, but want to build a strong 6.0 that can hold 15psi or more of boost..
Its my daily drive but do sand drag racing once or twice a month..

its a bone stock 5.3. i put springs and pushrods in it because the valves were floating with boost. thats it. made 600 to the wheels and ran 9s my first time to the track. you dont need anything but boost and octane to make power with these motors. i do use meth injection with it but its just windshield wiper fluid.
