get a Chevy 632 Pro series from Blue Print it has a 10.0:1 compression that I would assume would be a great starting point considering it has 815hp and 800 lb ft trq lol im sure a twin turbo set up on that could get you into the 3k hp rang

why you say that? If the top fuel dragsters are using a 500 cubic inch big block, making 8500-10k (wiki) and approx 6k lb ft trq (wiki) and running into the 3's range i dont see why a 632 can not make 3k+ hp just using logic. Dont get me wrong i fully understand the top fuel dragster engines are highly modified and on a completely different level with the parts they use but to say a 632 can not make 3k hp would be incorrect. Also i got the Chevy 632 Blue Print info from their own website and yes im talking about their dressed engine as well.

That motor wouldn't hold that much boost to get over 3000 hp out of it. The details are so vague that I don't know if I would trust it on motor let alone boost. There is a reason why those BBC are priced so low.

Anyway he is trying to stay in the LS series of races which would require him to stay with an LS based engine running gas, no methanol or nitro.

Hey i dont post much here but do read alot on this and other sites. I am amazed at what your car has done and especially for the parts that your team has used without even having to tear it down every season. I look forward to seeing what you do with the car and am glad you are staying with the ls platform. Carbon copies of other builds gets old and boring, cant wait to see what your team does different and uses. One of my favorite cars to read about.

What did you do to keep the head on for a season? Big head studs? What head gaskets?

copper gaskets, wire o-rings, thick deck heads, and a sensible engine tuneup.

A good tune up. Double orings installed properly. Custom dry deck block from LME

You know if someone gave you an unlimited budget you'd make something work.

I'm sure you will do fine, just keep your focus on the little things (pennies) and the power will come. The turbo is a very small part of the power.
