best tuning option for procharger?
The local dyno guy suggests a super chips scanner $375 and a dyno session $500 and super chips custom tuning $500.
Total $1,375
Seems quite expensive. I would think the $500 for dyno tuning would get it dialed in without me needing to pay superchips.
How about sending out the pcm for reprograming?
Thanks
I could see programmer, $375 + $500 for custom dyno tune, (and that is still an EXPENSIVE tune)
But your numbers are absurd, if a shop wanted me to pay $500 for thier dynotime, it better have edit, and include a dynotune for that price.
What part of the country are you in? We can find you a better solution.
Oh, and be careful throwing out the words "superchips custom tuning " as that is a seperate company from superchips (whos products/service&support are levels above the regular superchips brand)

Ryan.
I'm in Connecticut.
I thought it was crazy expensive. The guy told me he tunes better than most... he does it the right way... under all conditions... bla... bla... bla... yea whatever.
He made it sound like i couldnt install the thing my self. It takes them 24 hours to install one and it would take me even longer. I didnt tell him I was a gm master tech for 9 years in the 80's and early 90s, and the last year I did nothing but driveability and diagnostics. I just listened to his sales pitch.
Anyway, i'm all up for suggestions guys. I dont mind going out of state a bit. If i had a freggin dyno I'd do it my self.
How about a programmer.... what one would you reccomend? I have a laptop so I'm considering ls1 edit and or hptuner.
I've been out of the field for a while now and things have changed. i'm just starting to go down this dirty road to 500 hp after buying this 02 ss ragtop 2 weeks ago. So i'm sure this board will be VERY handy. It seems like its one of the better late model camaro boards out there.
Thanks again.

I'm leaning towards ls1edit or hp tuners software. Seems like the best option.
