Default Turning it up this summer!

so this past spring i finished my engine and turbo build on my 2000 ws6 learned how to tune it and had a good race season for what was left of it once the car was tuned in

im currently running a 5.3L iron block stock short block, epp blower cam and 243 heads with arp head studs and ls9 head gaskets, all this putting me around 9:1cr

running t76 front mount on 12psi with 93oct, seimens 60lbs and 340lph pump

what im thinkin of doimg is taking my 2bar sd set up and going 3 bar sd and turning up the boost to ether 16-18psi, ive heard of 100% stock ls1s running 16-17 on a safe good tune so im feeling that on a lower compression engine should be fairly safe yes?

would you all feel this is pushing this engine setup or no?

do you all feel this fuel system will keep uo or will i end up needing bigger injectors?

i plan on taking my car and dynoing it at 8psi to get a base line and go from there

I think you can push that kind of boost but not on that fuel. Go e85 or meth, run like 11.0 afr and call it good

I wouldn't switch to a 3bar just to run 16psi. Only 9 to 1 compression Turn it up to 20 psi and get some meth or e85. Either going to spend more on fuel system or by a meth kit.

Why would you have to redo the fuel lines to run E85? Get bigger injectors and add another pump.

thats actually exactly what i was going to do/run on my car if i went e85

i wouldnt need bigger fuel lines and rails to supply enough E85 for that type of horse power? and also dosnt stock stuff corrode out or does the metal hard line work ok with E85?

I ran stock lines, rails, with a FPR to around 650 rwhp. Many have gone higher than that.

Yep, all on E85. I started out running stock lines, rails and a boost referenced fuel pressure regulator. I upgraded to -8 feed, Holley rails, 127# injectors and using the stock feed as my return. I have two pumps, one is a 255 and the other is a Racetronix 340.

stock lines/rails have gone to 800+ on E85, most people do the lines cus they get fuel rails.

The stock lines are metal, they wont corrode.
